The award recognizes exceptional individuals early in their digital health career who have demonstrated a commitment to making quality care accessible in all settings, especially in low- and middle-income countries, through the use of digital health.
Dr Marc Mitchell passed away in 2019. He was the founder of D-tree International and a pioneer in digital health who focused on improving the quality of healthcare and health systems using digital technologies. The GDHN continues to honor his memory with this annual award.
The aim of this award is to inspire and nurture exceptional health professionals who are improving the delivery of quality health care through creative and innovative digital technologies.
The winner of this award will receive travel support (including airfare, accommodation, and visa costs), registration to next year’s Global Digital Health Forum, recognition during this year’s forum and mentorship from a member of the Global Digital Health Network Advisory Council.
